Goodfellow ProNature

Worry-free projects with Goodfellow ProNature Treated Wood

Goodfellow ProNature is pressure treated with Alkaline Copper Quaternary compounds (ACQ) developed to provide long-term protection of wood exposed in exterior applications. The main active ingredients are copper and quaternary compounds. Copper has long been known to be an effective wood preservative. Copper and quaternary compounds together provide a broad spectrum of long-term protection for wood exposed in exterior applications.

Goodfellow ProNature Treated Wood products are available for above ground, ground contact and freshwater contact applications, including:

  • Residential construction such as decks, patios, fencing, siding, plywood, sill plate.
  • Recreational applications such as walkways, boardwalks, landscaping, freshwater docks, and gazebos.
  • Construction and commercial applications such as dimensional lumber, structural timbers, posts, decking.
  • Agriculture and horticulture applications such as fencing, framing, and building poles.

Goodfellow ProNature treated wood should not be used in pressure treated wood members used in critical infrastructures such as bridges, piling, etc. For this application, Goodfellow offers Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA) treated wood.

Wood products properly pressure treated and processed with ACQ preservative are safe when used as recommended.

Goodfellow ProNature treated wood products begin with a familiar greenish colour and will over time turn to a light tan/brown colour after exposure to sunlight. As with most outdoor wood products, the wood will eventually fade to grey over time.
