Solid Wood
We offer solid Douglas Fir roof decking in 2 x 6, 3 x 6 and 4 x 6. Decking installed flat on framing timber will allow you to create a unique Scandinavian environment and without compromising the strength of the structure. The decking is formed with tongue and groove for installation with lost joints. The beams are usually pierced every 30″ for lateral nailing allowing the system to act as a diaphragm. (3×6 and 4×6) The decking is also used for mezzanine constructions.
Goodfellow also offers solid wood decking species in red pine, red cedar, spruce and larch.
Glulam
Decking is also available in laminated wood; it is designed of two to five strips of kiln-dried wood glued with an exterior waterproof adhesive to form a Glulam roof decking. Glulam decking is especially popular for commercial uses such as churches, libraries, City Halls, schools, office spaces…
